Hidden 🌈There is light even in the darkness.

A few years into my tie dye adventuring I started playing with different designs. One of my favorites I called the "Hidden Rainbow". It was a mostly black tie dyed piece, with a corner that had a small rainbow. There is a lot of bad stuff going on every day. On this planet. In the world. In this country. Or maybe something closer to home. Perhaps even our internal world. I know it is easy to spiral down a rabbit hole of doom and gloom. And it can be difficult to look for any glimmers of positivity. But there is light.
March is a month of transition. Where we are still in winter, and on our way to spring. But on any given day it could be either if not both ( peek at those days coming this week where the high is 64 and yesterdays low was 6 degrees). When winter or life's darkness is upon us, we need to stoke our own light within. Lean into the things that light us up. And maybe you already know what that is for you. Or it could be a time to explore. For me that's filling life with color. Enjoying the sun shining through the windows. Doing something creative. Watching the birds come. Being with my family. Or any number of other things.
I have come to enjoy all seasons, even winter. Which was a journey for me. And where I am in no hurry to rush mother nature, yesterday I felt it was time to put the winter decorations away and get the spring ones out. I know it was six degrees yesterday, Saturday will be 64, and it is possible that even in April we may get snow. But I wanted to brighten what surrounded me, and the reminder that spring will be here soon.
Before we moved we had daffodils in our front flower bed, and every year you would see their greens poking through the ground in January. There were a literal light in the darkness. Last spring we planted a few daffodils here, but there may be too much snow still to see them just yet. But I know they are there. There just have to push through the darkness to find the light.
